3M's first-quarter profit rises on cost-control measures
April 21 (Reuters) - Industrial giant 3M MMM.N posted a rise in first-quarter profit on Tuesday, as cost-control measures, price hikes and new product launches helped offset inflationary and tariff-linked pressures. The company's quarterly adjusted profit came in at $2.14 per share, compared with $1.88 per share a year ago.
